Yaron did a good job of explaining what is wrong in the economy and what needs to be done. It is aggravating that this is so obvious and yet seems to be so seldom understood by anyone in the government. It points at a strong bias toward agglomerating power to the point that the means to truly provide for the General Welfare is given a blind eye. Given the freedom to exercise our sovereign individual rights, we would quickly produce economic growth and solve most of our most pressing problems. It is nearly obvious. Perhaps the present obvious ineffectiveness of government will prod some into becoming aware of this.
It seems like that senator wants to have his cake and eat it too. He wants to run a socialised economy but still have the economic growth levels of capitalism.
