Everything You Need to Know About the Apple Antitrust Case
I recently sat down with Yaron to discuss the government’s antitrust suit against Apple and five major book publishers. I hope you’ll link to these videos, post them on Facebook, send them to your friends–anything to help get the message out.
Here is the entire interview:

You are aware of the persistent rumor of Steve Job’s rebuff of Obama’s dinner invitation last year. Jobs is rumored to have called Obama a “one-term-president” and an “innovation killer”. This sounds like Steve Jobs and good for him.
Do you think Obama can hold a grudge? Do you think that his staffer talk with the Justice Department? In this light the antitrust threat is not surprising.
All Apple really did is to persuade book publishers to change the wholesale pricing model to the agency pricing model and all agreed. It wasn’t even a price change. Publishers will be able to set the retail price with Apple taking an agency commission.
By the way, much improvement on all aspects of this video. Glad you are listening.
Interesting point about Apple. Thanks for the compliment on the video.
Don, you all are doing a great job on these videos. However, this one definitely needed better lighting. Too dark.
Thanks Nick. It’s a learning process, so feedback is always appreciated.
Better lighting is the easy part. I don’t think you can get Yaron to wear the spray tan though. Does Apple make spray tan?
While researching antitrust I found this is my archives. It’s an Ayn Rand quote from her Objectivist Newsletter, February 1962 on the subject of antitrust and specifically the concept of sanction.
Quote – To combat petty larceny as a crucial danger, at a time when murder is being committed, is to sanction the murder – unquote.
Yaron and Dan, I wonder if this quote could, metaphorically speaking, relate to all my past correspondence about the need to target the most influential audience with the most relevant message in the proper media?
Whether you agree will all my suggestions, some of them or none of them, I am inviting you both to have a non-public discussion about the methods of spreading Objectivism.
I welcome your thinking.
